The reality is that this firm has been representing senior officers for decades. We've been involved in many flag officer and O-6 cases.
Yesterday, the Washington Post reported that more high ranking officers are being charged with sex crimes.
One of the cases referenced was one recently at Fort McNair. I was at Fort McNair the day before representing an officer in a domestic abuse case. We had a mixed verdict, but the client received no jail and no dismissal from the military. A good result given the charges.
I certainly would agree that more officers are being sacrificed to show Congress that the military is tough on senior officers. The cases in the article were all egregious offenses. It's the careers being wrecked with reprimands and separations for minor accusations that is out of control.
